Frequently Asked Questions
Is my data safe?
Yes! The MAD-Validator is built with security as its foundation. You as a client are in full control of who you give access to the MAD-Validator. Ideally through Single Sign On (SSO). If this is not possible, you are required to provide at least one email domain under which users can be created.
It doesn’t end here for us. Assessing a data quality signal is almost impossible without supporting data, which we call Context Data. Because we understand that no one wants to share just any data, we offer you complete control. Per Rule, you can specify which Contextdata is needed. Our advice is of course to be very aware of this.
When you indicate that you want to include Context Data, you must indicate – in weekdays – when this data is automatically and irrevocably removed from the MAD Validator. Only the statistics will remain behind. This allows you to track trends, developments and the Return on Investment of Data Management.
We store the Context Data separately from the statistics and business rules.
.
What is the impact of the controls on our applications?
This question is a bit trickier to answer. In fact, it depends very much on the complexity of the rule and the volume of data. We understand that improving the quality of your data should not come at the expense of operational processes.
Our advice is to test data quality on a resource that is set up to handle large volumes of data. For example, a Data Warehouse or a Data Lake.
If this is not desirable or possible, we offer the option of scheduling each check separately. This way we enable you to offer possibly heavier controls at off-peak times.
What does your licensing model look like?
Our licensing model consists of two components:
- An annual fee which is paid upfront
- A monthly Pay per Use Component, which is based on actual usage on the last day of the month, in this we look at the number of Workers and/or the number of active Data Quality Rules.
.
Our aim is to make adequate data quality accessible to everyone. So the number of users is not an element for us.
Which companies benefit from the MAD Validator?
Inadequate data quality can cause you to lose 7 to 15% of your revenue, according to data from research firm Gartner1.
Our experience is that organizations with revenues from €10M and above and more than 200 employees working with data already benefit from deploying the MAD Validator. From this category of companies we see that it is more difficult to oversee the entire Data and IT playing field. And that data quality problems are being worked around.
